My Book Story

When I left my role in the Guernsey Civil Service I started a tour business called Experience Guernsey. While I thoroughly enjoyed showing people around the Island, it was a very seasonal business and I soon realised it was not really viable in the long term. What it did motivate me to do was to create a small Guide Book to Guernsey which I published on Amazon. I have been doing that for the last 9 years. My enthusiasm for writing grew from there, bolstered by several story ideas.

Before that I had been pottering with the idea of creating a local character called Olli the Ormer. Around the same time I turned one of the many Olli stories into a small children's book. I am never short of ideas and at one point came up with a piece of kit to help improve putting for golfers. I turned that into a small pamphlet too. 

After publishing my Guernsey Trilogy of three novels I turned to my favourite genre, Science Fiction, my passion when it comes to reading. The first in my 'Warriors of Sol' series is called Project 75, Into the Dark. It was published in January 2021. The second in the series, A New Future, was published shortly afterwards, in April 2021.

Since then I have completed a First World War story called the Kangaroo Ace, and have published my eighth novel called the Footsteps in the Sand. This is the second Detective Novel, featuring DI Karen Dee. More will follow.

If you read my books you will soon realise I am no Shakespeare, but I hope my style is easy to read and that you will enjoy each story.
